Get Your Voice To Our Elected Leaders
Calling your representatives is easy.
Here is what to expect. Some representatives have all of their calls go directly to voicemail so you just leave a message. They will often ask for you to leave your name, address, phone number, and sometimes email. Some have an actual staffer answer the phone. Staffers have always been polite, in my experience. Have a script ready and just read from it if you are nervous. They will possibly respond by saying the representative has already made a statement (and what it is), or that the representative has not made a statement. If a statement has been made in the direction of your request ask that they pass on your thanks. If a statement has been made against your position express your disappointment and remind them that you vote. I have completed 6 calls in less than 10 minutes. Just have the names, numbers, and script ready.
